Who are we?

Dovy, a half-Lithuanian who was born and raised in Alaska and speaks Japanese (a little) married Natalie, a half-Greek who was born and raised in the Air Force and speaks Italian (enough to get in trouble). Dovy is a full-stack web developer and Natalie is a mama and at-home cake designer. They were married in 2007 and have five little balls of energy: Anjali, obsessed with Darth Vader, is all red with energy we wish we could bottle; Elia, the little princess in the family, is sweetness without measure and loves to be the mother hen to her siblings; then there's Link, who is almost always happy and has a rather deep love affair with all things Star Wars and any type of moving vehicle; twins graced the family's presence next with Calvin, who is equally sweet and mischievous, commonly called "Gumby" (he's a bendy little chap) or "The Surgeon," due to his attention to fine detail; Graham is his partner-in-crime who is an amazing medical miracle with a happy-go-lucky personality and a smile constantly playing at the corners of his chubby cheeks. The furry friend in the family is a miniature Dachshund named Daisy. We are an American family.

Pre-Term Labor. Yech.

Pre-Term Labor. Yech.

The rest of June was also a bit eventful.  The girls had their final showcase for their dance companies.  They stole our hearts as they bounced around the stage.  I’m so grateful that the Lord gave me two little girls.  I can’t believe I ever worried about it.  They are angels and I can’t believe […]

Remodeling Ruckus

Remodeling Ruckus

The next little while in June was a little discouraging.  My parents were getting ready to come and we were trying to get the twins’ room finished so we could get help setting it and the rest of the house up.  (We’ve had to move a lot of things to get the construction finished.)  Well, […]

Good Bye, Joy School

Good Bye, Joy School

So, I’m going to break this down into a couple of posts.  We’ve had a lot happen in the last two months.  Sorry it’s been forever, but here we are.  Back at the beginning of June, things with the school year were winding down.  Anjali finished up Kindergarten and absolutely loved it!  She is so […]

Baking Babies

Baking Babies

We’ve been busy, as usual.  I am baking babies, and the rest of the family is enjoying the beginning of summer (except for maybe Dovy – he’s still working like crazy, as usual.) Anjali finished Kindergarten and passed her district-level test with flying colors.  She did awesome!  I was able to sit there and listen […]

Recital Season

Recital Season

I am feeling Baby A punch me in the guts right now.  Baby B does the same thing, but more towards my hip on the left side.  The boys are active and healthy.  I love feeling them and knowing they are okay.  They do keep me up a lot, and my growing belly has created […]

Butterfly Boy

Butterfly Boy

It was a normal week.  Dance, school, music, and church callings were all normal.  We did end up throwing in a landscape job in the backyard and side of the house.  We also went on a date with some friends to Buffalo Wild Wings.  (Gotta get those dates in before they become obsolete with our […]

A Slew of Events

A Slew of Events

Okay.   So, it’s been a while.  Again.  Surprise, surprise.  Ready to be bombarded with cute little kids and lots of stories? I will go back to the last post first.  I had to sit tight for a while, being really careful until my next ultrasound.  At 19 weeks, I went in for another ultrasound. […]

Challenges

Challenges

It has been a very humbling and challenging month.  Sorry that I’ve been radio silent for a while.  We’re okay, but it’s come with its costs.  I am still trying to overcome morning sickness, and that has made for some very difficult days, but especially evenings.  Dovy is trying to pick up the slack, but […]

Twinners!

Twinners!

Whew!  We’ve had an intense month!  First off, I spent almost all of January in bed, trying not to vomit every single moment of the day (and most of the nights, too).  It has been absolutely rough, but we were treated with one of the biggest surprises of our lives! A few weeks ago, Dovy […]

Christmas and Cakes

Christmas and Cakes

What an amazing holiday season.  We have been truly blessed and watched over this year.  We can’t believe how much we have been given and how much love we have felt.  We truly love life and we’re very excited for 2014!  One of those reasons, and now enough people know, is because we are expecting […]
