I’m catching up.  Again.  I am so busy, I just can’t keep up with anything these days.  Sorry.

So, the second-to-last week in October (woah, I just typed August, are we seriously in a time warp or what?)  ended up being quite the adventure.  We had signed up to be a host family for a student from Japan for a week.   We met our student on a Tuesday night.  Takayuki didn’t speak much English, but he won over our hearts.  He was so gentle and kind with the children and with our family.  He loved my cooking and we got to have lots of special experiences with him.  The kids had a blast and we hated to see him go.  We wish him the best!

Halloween plans went off without too many hitches.  We trick-or-treated until even our energetic redhead couldn’t do it anymore.  We ate Dinner-in-a-Pumpkin when we returned and ate way too much candy.  Enjoy the pics!  I’ll let them explain the rest of those two weeks because I still have another post to catch up on.
